Officers

 Rocio Rodriguez, President, President CLAA-Cummins, Inc.

Rocio Rodriguez joined Cummins Inc. in 1993 as Director Human Resources for Cummins business in Mexico. She stayed there until February 2000, when relocated to Nashville, TN to join the Cummins Filtration Business Unit, as Executive Director for Global Human Resources. Later, in 2008 she transferred to Columbus, IN to work at the Corporate HR Group as Executive Director for Human Resources Functional Excellence and recently in April 2009 joined the Engine Business as Executive Director - Human Resources to support the Global Staff Groups.

Ms. Rodriguez is the Secretary for CAMEO and President and Founder Member for the newly formed Columbus Latin American Association; she serves in the Board of Su Casa Columbus and is part of the Advisory Board for the Early Childhood Education, a critical project just launched in Columbus IN, representing the interests of the Latino children to improve education. She was part of the National Advisory Committee for the YMCA Black and Hispanic Achievers Program until April 2010. Rodriguez received the 2007 Volunteer of the Year Award from the YMCA of Middle Tennessee – Harding Place.

Rocio Rodriguez has a BA in Psychology for the Iberoamericana University in Mexico City, and MBA for the Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico and an Executive Diploma for the University of Chicago at the Chicago Booth School of Business.

 Angela Malagon-Elwood Staffing

 

Angela Malagon joined Elwood staffing in 2011 at the corporate recruiter.  A 2007 graduate of Indiana University, with a B.S. in marketing and management, she is an active community volunteer. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors at Su Casa Columbus, she is marketing liaison at The Ridge and has been the marketing chairwoman for the Bowl for Kids' Sake committee. She also keeps busy caring for her two amazing kids, husband and schnauzer. She enjoys hanging out with her family and girlfriends, camping, cooking and watching her kids play sports.  Angela, who is fluent in Spanish and loves Mexican food, has a passion for the Latino community and is truly excited to be serving on this board.


 

Gloria Shuey- Entrepreneur

Gloria I. Shuey,  is originally from Colombia, South America. She has been in the U.S. since 1999. She enjoys traveling and getting to know other cultures, languages, foods, and customs. Her background is in Interior Design. Gloria is an entrepreneur with 18+ years of experience in diverse areas.  Gloria’s commitment is to work with honesty, integrity, and transparency in support of the community.


 

Elise Foster-Leadership Potential Consulting/Kelley School of Business

  

Elise Caruso Foster came to the Columbus community in 2000 to join the Cummins as an engineer. After several years as an engineer, she pursued her Master's in Education from Harvard to focus on Adult Development, specifically leadership and professional training facilitation. She currently works as an independent leadership and career coach, as well as a career coach within the Kelley School of Business full-time MBA program. She loves running, food, travel, and spending time with her partner and young daughter.  She is looking forward to supporting the Spanish speaking community, and improving her own language skills along the way. Elise joined the Su Casa board in April 2011.                                             


  

Aaron Davis-Peer Foods

        

 Aaron Davis was born in Columbus, IN on June 23rd, 1979.  A graduate of Columbus East High School in 1997 and in 2001 received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University School of Agriculture with a major in Food Science.  During the summer of 1999 he was honored to attend and graduate a study abroad exchange program in Honduras, CA at Zamorano – Escuela Agricola Panamericana.   Aaron has worked in the Food Industry for the past 10 years and is currently a Sales Representative for Mariah Foods.  With a strong working vocabulary in the Spanish language Aaron has enjoyed travels to Mexico and Costa Rica while increasing communication within his employment.  Previously an Export Sales Representative at Indiana Packers Corp. in Delphi, IN Aaron has recently moved back to Columbus to be closer to friends and family.
